Dr. Kanal is Director of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s
Magnetic Resonance Services. He chaired the American College of
Radiology’s MRI Safety Committee, from its inception in 2001 through 2012,
and was lead author on all four of the ACR’s MR Safety Guidance Documents
to date. (2002, 2004, 2007, and 2013)
