Description:
The MMS Annual Public Health Leadership Forum will bring together leaders in public health, medicine, policy, industry, and the community to discuss the impact of the opioid epidemic on a state and national level and identify ways to work together for positive public health outcomes.

Activity Objectives:

As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

Be familiar with basics of pain management for patients on opioid maintenance.

Engage in discussions regarding alternatives to opioids and changing perspectives on management of pain.

Communicate with patients regarding pain management and alternative treatment.

Advocate for appropriate treatment services for patients with addictions.
