Description:
Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) represents a paradigm shift in perioperative care. A growing body of evidence has established that the adoption of ERAS guidelines will measurably reduce complications, shorten hospital stays and reduce health care costs.A team approach is needed to support ERAS pathways within a practice; the cooperationof all stakeholders is needed for implementation across the health system.

This symposium is designed to help participants understand ERAS pathways, their impact on patient outcomes and how to formulate an implementation plan. Prospective attendees include anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses and administrators.
