Description:
At the completion of this course, you will be able to:

Set up ultrasound system in order to obtain diagnostic images
Recognize normal and abnormal anatomy while performing a basic endovaginal ultrasound exam of the pelvis
Perform a satisfactory fetal ultrasound exam following the AIUM recommended protocol
Identify fetal and uterine anomalies and their ultrasound appearance
Apply appropriate measurement techniques in GYN and OB
Identify ultrasound findings necessary to rule out ectopic pregnancy

Normal anatomy review
Scan protocols
Endovaginal approach
Non-pregnant female pelvis
First, second and third trimester
Fetal growth and development
Gestational measurements
Fetal anomalies, placenta and doppler
Ectopic pregnancy

Target Audience
Physicians who are at an entry level of ultrasound scanning and interpretation OB/GYN specialists, family practice, internal medicine, emergency medicine and others with a special interest in OB/GYN ultrasound: sonographers, midwives, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and other health professionals learning OB/GYN ultrasound or cross training.
