Description:
This workshop will present, to both academic and practicing radiologists, the fundamentals and latest techniques of non-invasive colon cancer screening. The course will consist of didactic lectures and hands-on individual computer workstations with Dr. Judy Yee. The attendee will learn to perform, interpret and report a VC exam, as well as how to deal with questionable findings and avoid pitfalls.

Course registration includes printed syllabus, a copy of Dr. Yee's VC book, Thursday afternoon workstation training, Friday full-day and Saturday morning class instruction and workstation sessions. Friday breakfast & lunch and Saturday breakfast are provided.

Workstations will be provided by Vital Images. Enrollment is limited to 18 persons.

Thursday PM: Workstation Basics: CTC Software Training
Friday AM: Didactic Lectures (Examination, Protocols, Interpretation, Pitfalls)
Friday PM: Hands-on Workstation Training
Saturday AM: Didactic Lectures and VC Cases

At the completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:
1. Perform, interpret and report a virtual colonoscopy exam in a time-efficient manner;
2. Obtain optimal colonic distention and cleansing for a maximally diagnostic virtual colonoscopy;
3. Recognize the appearance of questionable findings and be able to use specific strategies to avoid common and uncommon pitfalls.

Attendees will also review 50 proven virtual colonoscopy cases as per ACR guidelines.
