Description:
The purpose of this CME activity is to review commonly encountered conditions found among children and adolescents.

Objectives:

•Describe keys to proper diagnosis and which treatments work best for otitis media
•Determine when to treat repeated upper respiratory infections as sinusitis
•Determine when to medically treat enuresis
•Discuss the role of vitamin D in bone development
•Discuss the broad health impact of vitamin D
•Discuss which injuries are most common at which ages and how to prevent them
•Apply latest vaccine recommendations
•Describe and discuss the management of upper GI foreign bodies
•Discuss the treatment and outcomes for children with gastroesophageal reflux
•Differentiate the various causes of pediatric jaundice
•Asses the type and extent of inflammatory bowel disease
•Differentiate different causes and therapies for viral hepatitis
•Describe the testing that is useful in malabsorption
•Explain the different presentations of allergic gastrointestinal disease
