Description:
The course is four full-day sessions Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a full day off on Wednesday.

This course will update the participants on both fundamental and cutting-edge diagnostic imaging techniques for brain, neck, spine and peripheral nerve diseases of adults, children, infants and fetuses, as well as applications of fMRI and spine interventions (nerve blocks, facet blocks, nerve root ablations, blood patches). The latest advances in CT/MRI protocols, post-processing, and advanced MR imaging techniques will be discussed with an aim to improve patient throughput and interpretation of brain, neck and spine lesions.

Lectures will focus on state-of-the-art imaging protocols, as well as specific imaging strategies to solve clinical questions, comprehensive overviews of fetal and pediatric neuroimaging, radiation safety and dose reduction in diagnostic CT imaging, and spine interventional procedures.

The course offers the opportunity for 8.0 Self-Assessment credits.

In addition to the case-based lectures, the course will include:
1. Cutting-Edge presentations will discuss the application of recent CT/MR methods to clinical practice.
2. Expert Opinion sessions will provide insights into how experienced neuroradiologists think through difficult cases.
3. Diagnostic Challenge presentations will highlight imaging pearls and pitfalls in the diagnosis of brain tumors, infectious and inflammatory diseases of the brain and head & neck lesions.
