Description:
The focus of this course is to improve and enhance interpretation of imaging studies using CT, MR, US and PET of the chest, abdomen, pelvis and neurological system. The course program will provide an updated review of evidence-based practice, including developing technologies such as PET/CT, CT Colonography, new musculoskeletal MR imaging techniques and CT-guided spine injections. Clinical concerns such as minimizing radiation dosage and reimbursement issues will also be discussed.

Upon completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:
1. Improve performance and interpretation of brain, thoracic, abdominal and obstetric/gynecologic imaging studies;
2. Recognize the uses and limitations of CT, PET/CT and MRI for various body applications;
3. Recognize the appearance and pitfalls of tumors of the brain, lung, pancreas and kidneys;
4. Understand the techniques used to perform state-of-the-art CT Colonography and CT Urography;
5. Understand new MRI sequences for musculoskeletal imaging;
6. Improve interpretation of obstetric sonographic assessments.
